I have been working in the Housing and Community Development field for 15 years. I have been working with Federal, State, and Local grants and loans. I have extensive knowledge of the real estate process with HOME funds and work closely with USDA Rural Development. I have know with Wills, and Power of Attorney documents and work with our Legal Department as their Notary. Over the years I have worked with various loan packages.
Anitra C. Watson works as the Housing and Energy Conservation Director at an Inter-Governmental senior resource agency that provides assistance to residents in Planning District 19. Planning District 19 includes the City of Petersburg, City of Hopewell, City of Colonial Heights, City of Emporia, and the following Counties: Dinwiddie, Prince George, Sussex, Surry and Greensville. As the Housing and Energy Conservation Director, Anitra oversees the department operations and implementation of the Home Repair and Weatherization Assistance programs.
Prior to accepting a position at CDAAA, Anitra worked at a Housing Nonprofit for 13 years. During her tenure, Anitra worked in the Revitalization Department and the Energy Conservation Department, as the Client Services Director. Anitra provided program support to ensure the eligibility guidelines were met. Currently, Anitra serves on several boards and committees and was recently appointed to the Association of Energy Conservation Professionals. Anitra continues to strengthen her network by leveraging resources to provide assistance to the residents within the communities she serve.
