Before establishing her own mobile notary service, Debra was a legal secretary, supporting attorneys in several large law firms in Palo Alto for 20 years. She was a trusted member of those law firms, ensuring precision in her work; respecting strict confidentiality requirements; organizing, classifying, and categorizing mountains of paperwork associated with complex cases; and navigating the often-complex legal and billing software. While working at one of the law firms, her position required her to become a notary public. This began her notary career, however, little did she know she would start her own notary business several years later. Debra began pursuing the loan signing career path, becoming NNA loan signing certified, obtaining E&O insurance, etc.; however, was a little frightened to completely jump into the water. Finally, in April 2016, she left the law firm and started her own business, Notary on the Spot, a mobile notary service. Debra has successfully completed over 1,000 loan signings, including purchases, refinances, VA/FHA, seller, HELOC and reverse mortgages. She enjoys serving the public and has met many interesting people; in particular, one individual was 106 years old! What an opportunity this career has afforded her!
