I am a barely seasoned Notary. After being a stay-at-home mom for the past 18+ years, its time for me to start a new challenge in my life. I am looking forward to this new way of life. Call me, text me or email me.
I have previously done some light weight transcription based out of the UK. Taught myself Microsoft Word. Have been a Windows user since 3.11 (before that was DOS). Now my latest is learning my way around Mac products. I have taken a Legal Terminology course - I had to understand what all those terms used in Law & Order were all about.
Nowadays I use my computer knowledge to read up and study on my Notary profession. I have the standard $10,000 state bond insurance and the $100,000 E&O insurance. I am NSA certified through the NNA. I now have a Certificate of Liability Insurance for $1,000,000. My last actual job was being a home health aide. I had to quit because I was about 5 months pregnant with my son. Before that I was a phlebotomist in a small hospital. Loved that job, getting to interact with people in all walks of life. Learning a new trade. After 20+ years, I bet I can still find a vein on most people. Before that I had worked as a nurse's aide at hospitals and nursing homes. Not doing that again. As of the end of 2023, I have completed 4 A6/HELOC/cashouts, 49 Refis, 400+ Loan Mods, 98 Seller Packages, 35 Purchase/Buyer packages, 36 Reverse Mortgage Applications, 15 Reverse Mortgage closings, 2 Assumption.
Personal Bio
I am born and raised in Texas. I have lived in Texas all my life. Yes, I have visited many other states and still, no place like home - Texas. I have been married to my current husband for 20 years. We have a son and daughter who both have graduated high school (phew! Life accomplishment!). I also have a 36 year old daughter from a previous marriage. No grandchildren yet (*sigh). I believe in learning something new while you can. One day, we all will sit around and wish we did something while we had a chance. I will not be one of those people. I encourage my kids to learn something new, even if you dont use it later in life. You will still have that knowledge. Have an open mind and learn something new. When I'm not in front of the computer, my main hobby is crocheting. I don't make things to sell as no way will a normal person pay my time to make something.
Anything 46+ miles from my location will incur extra travel fee. General Notary work is $10 per signing - as allowed by the Secretary of State. Travel fees are not included.
