When I first became a Notary, I worked in a Pennsylvania DMV office doing titles and tag work. A friend asked me to join her as a Signing Agent for a private title company in Pittsburgh who taught me the ropes. I soon began working with other title companies, and so as this industry requires, I became a Certified Signing Agent through the NNA. And soon I was working directly with many title agencies and lenders. I was a Pennsylvania Notary/Signing for over 15 years in PA with over 3,500 closings completed in PA.

When I first became a Notary, I worked in a Pennsylvania DMV office doing titles and tag work. A friend asked me to join her as a Signing Agent for a private title company in Pittsburgh who taught me the ropes. I soon began working with other title companies, and so as this industry requires, I became a Certified Signing Agent through the NNA. And soon I was working directly with many title agencies and lenders. I was a Pennsylvania Notary/Signing for over 15 years in PA with over 3,500 closings completed in PA. As I became more involved with the NNA, (National Notary Association) I was asked to be the liaison for the NNA to help promote the Electronic Notarization program starting in Philadelphia and Harrisburg. I was very proud to perform the first electronic closing in PA. Within the same time frame I was asked to became the NNA Signing Agent Instructor in PA. PA Notaries need to have state approved education to become or renew as a Notary Public. With my teaching experience, I wrote an educational course for new and renewing notaries in Pennsylvania, accoring to PA law and submitted it to the Notary Division for approval. I was thrilled to have gotten approval to provide the courses to new and renewing notaries within the Commonwealth of PA. My approved Notary course was then available online, in my office and in classrooms in all counties. Although PA does not require notaries to take a Signing Agent course, I knew the title companies wanted their notaries to have some sort of additional training. With the help of title agents I developed a Signing Agent course just for PA Notaries. I added the Signing Agent course to the programs that I already had available to PA Notaries. These classes soon sold out in all venues. In the meantime, I opened a DMV office doing motor vehicle transfers with two employees. We were very excited that we could do title and tag work in the office along with our educational programs. In 2012, we relocated to Gettysburg PA. Doing the same work and teaching. In 2017 we relocated to Florida. I had been a PA Notary for over 15 years so it came naturally to continue in Florida and I became a Florida Notary Public. I worked as a mobile notary and Signing Agent there for 5 years. With the onset of Covid, the notary field opened up to include online notary work. I then became RON which is a remote online notary. Now in 2022 we moved back to Gettysburg PA and I am thrilled to back. I am working here as a RON and a mobile notary along with Signing Agent work. I am looking forward to re-opening a DMV office here along with my educational programs.
