Commissioned in 2007 by the Michigan Secretary of State - Office of the Great Seal as a notary public, Tiffany Nance took an oath of office to serve as an unbiased and impartial witness on business, public and other documents. With respect to tangible records, she is authorized to perform including, but not limited to, taking an acknowledgment, administering an oath or affirmation, taking of a verification upon oath or affirmation, or witnessing or attesting a signature performed while being in compliance. The most common service that she provides is to prevent fraud by attesting to the identity of a person signing a document.
