Sheri Marshall is an Austin native, graduated from the Austin Public School system. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Austin Peay State University, Clarksville TN, Accounting Degree from University Alaska Anchorage AK, Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship from St Edwards University in Austin TX. Sheri is a retired Finance and Accounting Pay Officer, Alaska Air National Guard, Anchorage. Sheri Marshall is a Successful Business Owner of two companies and has won numerous awards and accolades in her field, most recently she was selected by her Sorority for the Business Women of the Year, she was featured in the November 2019 Austin Woman Magazine and recently in the September 2019 Austin Woman magazine and again in the September Austin Business Journal. Her two businesses are Best Choice Mobile Notary and Document Signing Services and Umoveit - WeCleanit Commercial Janitorial, Sheri is a Mortgage Loan Closer for title companies, lenders and banks across the globe. Sheri is the “Preferred Notary” for several Rehabilitation hospitals, nursing homes, retirement centers and Attorneys in the metro. She provides free service to Senior citizens not able to pay for services; she also provides free services to inmates in the city jail in the Austin metro. She is a Texas Notary Public Trainer. She trains new Notaries for local Credit Unions and Banks and the general public. She has held Notaries training in Austin, Houston, Dallas and Beaumont. The Notary business won the Best Creative Business in 2004 by the Austin Chamber of Commerce. Sheri is the proud owner of Umoveit-WeCleanit Commercial Janitorial Company; this company has won numerous bids for contracts as a Women Owned African American company in a male dominated field. Her forty six (46) contracts are with high-end stores such as Tesla, Michael Kors, and Stage stores, DSW, Coach, Michael Kors, Pets Smart, Kendra Scott, Coach, Prada and more. Another part of her business is a Post Construction and Final Clean contractor in the Austin Metro; she is the only African American in this field. All of the new stores in the Domain were open by Sheri Marshall. UMWC is recognized from Austin to Houston it has grown from 3 contracts to 46 contracts. UMWC is contacted repeatedly from contractors from various states for renovations, new construction and remodels in the Austin Metro and Houston area. The primary focus in starting this company was to recruit; train and put men and women that have been in the criminal system back to work and to help them turn their lives around, build a better future and a good working history. Sheri Marshall has formed a partnership with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice System (TDCJ) the Probation officers and Parole Officers to hire ex-offenders that meet the criteria. UMWC is a 2nd Chance Employer that is widely recognized for the work they are doing with the criminal system. Sheri Marshall is the President of Top Ladies of Distinction Capital City Chapter, Past President of The National Association of Black Accountants – Austin Cen-Tex Chapter she served for 7 years! Sheri is an Executive Board member of the Chamber of Commerce. Her vision was to bring awareness to the public about NABA its student chapters and students aspiring to seek employment in the Finance and Accounting field. Sheri serves as the Financial Secretary for Iota Phi Lambda Business and Professional Women's Sorority!
