Born in Seattle, Washington to two 19-YO parents from Sioux Falls, SD post WWII, at the Seattle Naval Hospital, at 3 months I packed everyone up and moved to San Diego where we were joined by two more Navy brats. We relocated in Ventura county when I was 7, and I've lived on the Central Coast every since, with a stint in Santa Monica and Pasadena while I attended college. I did my time working in the LA area for renown celebrities and investors, where I garnered my real estate knowledge and expertise in high end condominiums, large estates and commercial developments. At 40 years of age, I purchased my first piece of real estate in Carpinteria, 20 acre horse ranch with my brother and his long time friend. Ten years later I purchased another ranch in Santa Barbara north county where we grow grapes, olives, lots of fruit trees and a large organic vegetable garden that yields abundant food year-round. During these past 18 years, I have been a full time loan signing agent while tending to my gardens, my favorite past time. I have two dogs, Romeo, a 5 year old German Shepherd, a young man in a dog suit. Henri, a golden labrador, was here with me until this past summer, and he passed at 16 YO. He had a great life here, after I rescued him from an animal shelter in 2005. Recently we welcomed Sweetie Girl, now 6 YO Border Collie, who at first was very skeptical of us, as she was a one-owner dog on a neighboring ranch. By day two, after running away, she warmed up to us and now is our constant, loyal companion. Romeo and Sweetie Girl are managing their cohabitation, she lets Romeo know who is the new sheriff in town. After all the nearby fire events this summer, we have encountered new wildlife visitors, bear, mountain lion and bob cat looking for water and food. It is great to have two major yard alarms and security lights that come on when they cross the security system alarm boundaries. We have plenty of time to react. Living in the mountains has been a real God send and we have many wonderful neighbors who share our joy in living in the middle of nowhere. We are 25 minutes from mineral hot springs and beautiful shoreline. The nearby colleges offer courses in viticulture and there is no shortage of wonderful vineyards and wineries, botanical gardens, and arts and cultural events up and down the coast. With all the talent around here, there is no shortage of entertainment and enjoyable, loving friends and family. We are still learning and growing from life's stimulating challenges and encounters. We focus on maintaining our health and keeping the focus toward living a Christian life, helping others whenever we can.
