Served as a parish minister full time for 5 years in South Dakota. Switched to part time ministry and started a life insurance sales agency in 1977. Was elected to the city Council for Watertown, SD 1979 for a 2-year term. Was elected to the Codington County Commission in 1984 and served 32 years thereafter. I was elected to the Board of Trustees of the South Dakota Retirement System, which provides retirement benefits for all public employees in the State of South Dakota. I married Barbara Miller in Longmont, Colorado on February 7, 1971. We have 4 daughters who are currently married. We have 8 grandchildr
