Hi! My name is Ginger and I've been a notary public for 3 years and an NNA certified NSA as of September 2024. While I have a lot to learn still in this field, I do bring a BA in Anthropology, as well as nearly 20 years of customer service and management experience along with me. I think my prior work experience has more than prepared me for the challenges of loan signings and notary work. I tend to thrive under pressure and have developed a knack for deescalating stressful situations. I am used to working with people from diverse backgrounds and enjoy traveling and meeting new people every day. I am punctual, professional, and friendly, and have learned to be adaptable to people and situations. I am eager to gain more experience, make new connections, and thrive in my notary business.
Personal Bio
While I was born in Miami, the majority of my childhood was spent on a farm in North Central Florida. I learned to drive when I was seven and have pretty much worked since I could walk. If you've ever spent time on a farm, you'll understand why that's not crazy. In addition to being a fairly fun childhood, farm life is ideal for instilling an iron-clad work ethic in a person. I consider myself to have a very strong work ethic and am not happy with myself if I know I didn't do my absolute best at something. I am also always on time. According to my mom, if you're not fifteen minutes early you are already late. I went to the University of Florida and graduated in 2011. My BA is in Anthropology, with minors in Art History and Classical Studies. While my academic interests run to the fairly nerdy, I realized before I even graduated that I would not work in the field I had chosen, despite how much I loved it. Some people can sit quietly at a desk all day, but I'm not one of them. I like to be walking, moving, traveling, and talking. I hate being bored, and I think somehow this led me to the restaurant industry. I spent almost 20 years working in restaurants in nearly every role that does not include the kitchen, though I have washed dishes as the manager on duty! Restaurants are fast-paced and stressful, and there is always a delicate situation that needs fixing. There are also a lot of moving parts, lots of balls in the air, and keeping all the parts functioning is a fine art and something I rather enjoyed. Unfortunately, restaurants do not provide a schedule conducive to raising a child. I have a seven year old son who is everything to me. He and I both deserve a schedule where I have more time for him, and in a very roundabout way that led me to notary work. I find the work interesting, the schedule flexible, and I get to see my kiddo more. At the end of the day, he's my motivation for almost everything.
